Businesses have to receive and send mails to clients, vendors, government organizations, etc. in order to inform or complete business deals. Since mails are the essential elements of daily activities, the job to sort out correspondence is assigned to individuals known as a mail clerk. Mail clerks receive, sort and hand over mails to respective departments, and staffs. They even prepare mail to send it through the post office or to the shipping company. Mail clerks work for business organizations, government agencies, schools, advertising companies, mail-order firms, and insurance companies. A high school diploma, and mail clerk resume is necessary to apply for this position.

 

The mail clerk resume should focus more on experience rather than qualifications. The job just needs the basic understanding of how to sort, label, prepare and deliver packages to the right hand. Thank you for this Anne. It is always hard to set up a resume and make sure it looks really good before handing it to a potential employer. I, myself, found it a lot easier to use a postage meter. This little machine prints the correct amount of postage for each piece of mail, either directly on the piece or on a label to be put on the piece. At this rate, resumes would be sent out all over the place. I actually used it last week and my goodness, it was awesome. Hope this finds you well!
